Customer complaint of not cooling in freezer. Found no frost pattern, compressor not running. Tried to Cheater cord the compressor and didnt run, tried two different devices and didnt run. Plugged in old device and plugged unit back in and compressor started right up. .335 amp draw. Frost pattern is perfect over evaporator. Would suspect an intermittent issue of voltage not being sent to compressor/start device. Unit is cooling now. Went from 58 to 28 during the visit. Told customer to give the unit a day to see how its reacting, could have just needed a power reset.

Unit unplugged on arrival. Plugged it in and unit started draining but would not enter diagnostic mode or respond to pressing start. Held start button for several seconds and drain pump turned off. Put it in diagnostic mode and found error codes F8E1, F2E1. Noticed that plumbing is backwards so hot and cold are hooked up to the wrong ports. Good water flow for each valve in diagnostic mode. Swapped hoses around so they are now correct. Did notice squealing when unit started to spin in diagnostic mode. Recommend replacing belt for squealing. ; ordrng 1 W11239857 (Belt)

Customer reports that unit is not cooling. Ice maker not working for at least a year. Made ice slow and then quit all together. First noticed that it was not cooling about 2 weeks ago on both sides and food was spoiling. Unit was unplugged when I arrived. Compressor turned on when unit was plugged in. Low side pressure with compressor running is 15 psig. When unplugging unit the pressure stays the same. Diagnosed failed compressor. Unit was manufactured in 2021-04 so it would still be covered under LG warranty for compressor. Ice maker problem appears to be unrelated to problem cooling and will not be covered under LG warranty. Cooling problem will need to be corrected and water reconnected to refrigerator before I am able to diagnose ice maker fully. ; O-emld tckt

Unit was not cooling on Monday. They heard a hissing sound in freezer and fan/compressor was not running. Customer replaced main control board and unit started cooling again. Now customer again heard hissing sound and was concerned that it had quit working again. It does sound like this was a normal defrost mode. No significant errors stored in smarthq. Ice maker has not worked since control board was replaced. Power light is on on ice maker and it is turned on. Confirmed that ice maker fills in test mode. Likely failed ice maker although there is a small chance that the new control board is not calling for water when ice maker cycles. ; ordrng 1 WR30X39385 (ICEMAKER)

Customer reports it shut off. Checked error codes. F7e7, f7e1, f8e1, f9e1. F7e1/7 are relating to motor not reaching target rpms and tachometer (shifter). Noticed that the shifter was having trouble switching the cam to agitate and spin. Took apart and reassembled, does spin and agitate now. Can hear motor actually moving into place now. Failing actuator. F8/e1 and f9e1 are pertaining to long fill and drain time. Washer has adequate water flow to unit. Drain pump does sound like its having a hard time draining. Washer is fixed after just taking apart and reassembling. Would replace actuator if issue persists.
